Feral Friends, exposition à Omaha, NE, USA
"Feral Friends," curated by Kim Darling and Alex Jochim at Omaha's fabulous Petshop Gallery, showcases works by over 40 national and international artists and explores the untamed bonds connecting us to the wild world, focusing on the feral nature of dogs.
Inspired by Donna Haraway's provocative quote, “Run fast, bite hard,” from The Companion Species Manifesto, the exhibition challenges viewers to tap into their innate ferocity. The artworks on display span various mediums, from paintings and sculptures to photography and performance. Through these works, artists explore themes of companionship, survival, and the blurred boundaries between domestication and wildness.
By partnering with “Muddy Paws” dog rescue, the exhibition aims to make a tangible difference in the lives of dogs in need. A portion of the proceeds from the exhibition will go directly to supporting the rescue and rehabilitation efforts of “Muddy Paws” ensuring that more dogs find loving homes and receive the care they deserve.
